- Description
- The United States Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA), Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) has a requirement to provide an annual Regulated Medical Waste Disposal Program for regulated medical waste, pathological medical waste, and re-usable sharps containers at the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital located in Hines, Illinois. Description of Services: Contractor to provide Medical Waste Disposal Services in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions, specifications and schedules herein for the Edward Hines Jr, VA Hospital (VAH), Hines, IL, by furnishing labor and material to pick up, transport, and microwave-grind and/or provide another acceptable disposal method as regulated by State and Federal EPA Guidelines Regulated Medical Waste from Hines VAH. All anatomical, pathological and trace chemotherapeutic waste must be incinerated. Contractor shall provide all materials, supplies, and/or components necessary to perform required services. Services must be performed in accordance with industry standards. This procurement is set aside for a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns. The NAICS code for this procurement is 562112; Small Business Size Standard is $38.5 million. It is anticipated that award will result in a single award firm-fixed price indefinite delivery contract. This is a one-year contract. Award will be made to a qualified firm that can meet the contract requirements and is the best overall value to the Government, price and other factors considered. All responsible offerors may submit an offer for this requirement. To be eligible for award, offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. Offerors may obtain information on registration in the SAM at https://www.sam.gov. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be available at Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) at www.fbo.gov on or before May 5th, 2015. All service disabled, veteran owned small business must be CVE registered. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued. The Solicitation may be accessed electronically only via the FedBizOpps website. Offerors are responsible for routinely checking the FedBizOpps website for any possible solicitation amendments that may be issued. Proposals will be due May 18th 2015 by 11:00 A.M. CST. EMAILED OR FAXED SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. ALL PROPOSALS MUST BE MAILED OR HAND CARRIED TO THE CONTRACTING FACILITY LISTED IN THE REQUEST FOR QUOTES (SOLICITATION).
