- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for transit and a total of 50 Science Flight Hours. (1) Airborne G-LiHT data in support of a May 2015 campaign in the FL Everglades. Includes G-LiHT I&T and FAA approval; transit to Everglades NP,FL 20 Science Flight Hours. (2) Airborne G-LiHT data in support of Mass Grave Campaign (Part 1) University of Tennessee. Includes G-LiHT I&T and FAA approval; transit to Knoxville, TN 10 Science Flight Hours. (3) Airborne G-LiHT data in support of Mass Grave Campaign (Part 2) University of Tennessee. Includes G-LiHT I&T and FAA approval; transit to Knoxville, TN 20 Science Flight Hours Pilot Qualifications: NASA requires a pilot with unique qualifications (Class 1 Medical) and experience conducting science missions. Pilot must be experienced in operating within remote locations; must have piloting expertise and ability to closely follow flight lines; and must have the ability to communicate with the instrument operator which all are critical to flight safety and obtaining high quality science data. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to use the On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above or it may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.g ov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=. The information required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing (e-mail is preferred) to Katheryn.A.Thomas@nasa.gov; no later than 2:30 Eastern Standard Time on May 6, 2015. It is the quoter's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments (if any). Potential quoters will be responsible for downloading their own copy of this notice, the on-line RFQ and amendments (if any). Interested organizations must submit their quotes and/or proposal to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 2:30 p.m. local time on May 8, 2015.
