Description
Sources Sought Statement of Need This is a sources sought synopsis seeking information of potential firms (nationwide) that have an interest in submitting as a prime contractor, a proposal for the following description: The project consists essentially of, but is not limited to, Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, and supervision required to provide and install HEPA Vacuum System in accordance with attached Statement of Need. We are requesting that all interested and qualified firms respond to this sources sought notice with a capability statement similar to your marketing package used in the everyday course of doing business. Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this notice. The Government will utilize the following information in determining acquisition strategy: (1) Summarize how your company is uniquely capable and qualified to handle this type of project; (2) Summarize projects completed similar to the project outlined above. The list of relevant projects may include names of the project team members and firm, point of contact (contracting officer and COR/inspector) with titles, phone and fax numbers, project scope, and type of contract; (3) A statement of your current business size status under the NAICS code 423830 - Industrial Machinery and Equipment Merchant Wholesalers. In your response, also indicate whether you are a HUBZone small business concern, service- disabled veteran-owned small business firm, 8(a) contractor, small business firm, women-owned small business firm, or large business firm. The information above must be submitted in written format via e-mail to Nathan.Filson@us.af.mil and Melvin.Mitchell.1@us.af.mil. This Sources Sought is an advance notice for information and planning purposes only and is not a solicitation. In order to receive an award from any resultant solicitation, should one be issued, the successful offeror must be registered and active in System for Award Management (SAM). The SAM website is: https://www.sam.gov/. The information/capability statement must be received not later than 18 May 2015. This sources sought notice should not be construed in any manner to be an obligation to issue a contract, or result in any claim for reimbursement of costs for any effort you expend in responding to this request. No solicitation is currently available. OMBUDSMAN (APR 2014) (a) An ombudsman has been appointed to hear and facilitate the resolution of concerns from offerors, potential offerors, and others for this acquisition. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The existence of the ombudsman does not affect the authority of the program manager, contracting officer, or source selection official. Further, the ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection process, or the adjudication of protests or formal contract disputes. The ombudsman may refer the interested party to another official who can resolve the concern. (b) Before consulting with an ombudsman, interested parties must first address their concerns, issues, disagreements, and/or recommendations to the contracting officer for resolution. Consulting an ombudsman does not alter or postpone the timelines for any other processes (e.g., agency level bid protests, GAO bid protests, requests for debriefings, employee-employer actions, contests of OMB Circular A-76 competition performance decisions). The new HEPA Vacuum system must be able to integrate into the current system via the 4 inch inlet. 1.1.1 We require the following item (or Equal) in order to safely continue operation: Nilfisk 3707 Hepa Vacuum 460V 518cfm@92in/H2O. 1ea Reverse Purge Cartridge filter kit. 1ea Polyliner Adapter kit 3707/3907/3997. 1ea 100MM inlet Coupler for 4" header hose. 1ea Polyliner Bags 46 Gal 1 PK 3707/3907/3997. 10ea 1.1.2 The below specs are the minimum this machine should meet in order to provide the optimum performance for our sanding booth: •CFM- 600 CFM •Water lift - 92.3" (controlled) 187" sealed inlet •Noise in dba - 78DBA •Voltage - 460 (3 phase) •Capacity - 46 gallons •Filter Surface Area - 75.36 ft2 (4) Cartridges •Current Max - 15.1 amps (460V) •HEPA Efficiency -99.995@.018 microns •Downstream HEPA Surface Area 186.22 ft2 •Dimensions LxWxH - 63x31.5x71.3 •Weight w/o cartridges - 672 lbs. •Protection Class - IP55 •Inlet diameter - 4" (100mm)
