Description
Map Terms Vendor Questionnaire Scope of Work W9 •I. Extent of Work TIJCC seeks a vendor to provide all required certifications for all Hood Systems and Sprinkler Systems. The services TIJCC requests include: Certification, inspection, and testing of fire suppression systems, emergency lighting systems and sprinkler systems. Testing of all backflow preventers Inspection of all Ansul systems In the event that any system components cannot be certified due to required maintenance, a description of the work required to bring that item up to certification standard is required in a final report to be provided upon completion. Inspections and testing reports shall be presented in person the TIJCC's Safety Officer. One report is required for each master box. Inspections will be by appointment only with the TIJCC Safety Officer. A copy of each test certification shall be forwarded to the local authority having jurisdiction within 10 days of testing completion, if required. •A) Hood Systems The Hood System Services include 13 Wet Chemical Ansul Fire Suppression Systems in the Food Service and Culinary Training areas, Building 368. In addition, there is one ansul suppression system in the paint booth in the painting department, Building 365. The work will include insuring that: The system is in its proper location The manual actuators are unobstructed Check tamper indicators and seals are intact Maintenance tag or certificate is in place No obvious physical damage or condition exists that might prevent operation Pressure gauge(s), if provided, is in operable range Nozzle blowoff caps are intact and undamaged Hood, duct, and protected cooking appliances have not been replaced, modified, or relocated. See that the hazard has not changed Examine all detectors, expellant gas container (s), agent container(s), releasing devices, piping, hose assemblies, nozzles, signals, all auxiliary equipment, and the level and condition of all chemical agents Verify that the agent distribution piping is not obstructed. Maintain inspection report records Start Date: May 20, 2015 End Date: Bi-Annual inspections no later than May 29, 2015 •B) Sprinkler Systems The Sprinkler Systems include two Fire Sprinkler Systems. These are backflow devices installed in Building 442 (Administration Building) and Building 500 (Gymnasium). Start Date: May 20, 2015 End Date: Quarterly inspections to start no later than May 20, 2015
