Description
This is a Synopsis which is provided for subcontracting opportunities only. The proposed Task Order is made under the terms of existing contracts that were previously synopsized, therefore FAR 5.203 does not apply. This project is restricted to the four previously selected MATOC contractors only. Proposals will not be considered from any firms other than those in the MS RIVER STRUCTURES MATOC POOL. Description of Work: The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment, and constructing one hardpoint dike, constructing bank paving, constructing a longitudinal stone toe dike, and repairing one existing flanked dike at Wilson Point in East Carroll Parish, LA. Principal features of the work include mobilization and demobilization; furnishing, delivering, and placing approximately 166,160 tons of Graded Stone "A" and 22,050 tons of Graded Stone "C"; clearing, grubbing, and snagging; excavation; and environmental protection. This work will be performed in the Mississippi River and varying water depths and currents may be encountered. Currents usually encountered at the sites of the work during low water period may vary from about one mile per hour to about six miles per hour. Construction of the dikes may require both floating plant and land based equipment. The work shall be completed as expeditiously as possible even though river conditions may become increasingly severe as construction progresses. The work requires steady and uninterrupted progress to minimize loss of stone during construction. The MATOC contractors are listed below. W912EQ-14-D-0001 CHOCTAW TRANSPORTATION COMPANY, INC, P.O.
