- The United States Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, Icebreakers, Buoy & Construction Tenders (IBCT) Product Line has a requirement to procure the item(s) noted below. Quotes may be submitted by email to Jacquelyn.l.warfield@uscg.mil or faxed to 410-762-6570. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for Commercial Items prepared and is issued in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, FAC 2005-81 (April 2015) and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The NAICS Code for this solicitation is 336611 Small Business Size 1000. All quotes will be considered if received NLT 8 May 2015 COB EST. AWARD WILL BE MADE ON OR ABOUT 13 May 2015. THIS NOTICE IS NOT SET ASIDE FOR A SMALL BUISNESS. Item 1: NSN: 4010 01-620-9604 DESCRIPTION: Wire Rope, 5/8", 6x37 IWRC RRL PART NUMBER: JWCG062100PL MFG: The James Walker Company Quantity: 26 EACH Delivery on or before: 6 August 2015 DESCRIPTIVE DATA: This is the 100FT Cross Deck Winch Wire Rope for the 175-WLM. The following Specs apply: Length: 100FT Diameter: 5/8 Inch Strand Class: 6 x 36 (General Purposes) Strand Lay: RRL Wire core Type: IWRC Wire Rope Grade: XIPS (EIPS) RS: Greater than 30,000 LBS (15.0 Tons) Finish: Bright Wire Ends: 1-Open Spelter Socket, 2- Siezed Note 1: Wire Rope will be Lube by Mfg with Kirkpatrick Dynaguard Blue. This will help with Wire Rope Preservation when stored in CG Warehouse. Note 2: Wire Rope should be Weight Tested as a Unit. That means that the Wire Rope will be Fully Assembled with Open Spelter Socket in one end and the other end Siezed. Note 3: The Wire Rope Assembly shall be tested to 40% of its Rated Breaking Strength (RBS). A copy of the Certification Documentation the Successful Completion of the Weight Test shall be included inside the Wire Rope Packaging. SHIPPING CHARGE (if applicable) NOTE: NO DRAWINGS, SPECIFICATIONS OR SCHEMATICS ARE AVAILABLE FROM THIS AGENCY. It is anticipated that a non-competitive Sole Source purchase order shall be awarded as a result of this synopsis/solicitation. Concerns having the expertise and required capabilities to provide these items are invited to submit complete information discussing the same within two (2) calendar days from the day this notice is posted. The information submitted must include a letter from the OEM verifying the offeror is an authorized distributor and verifying the OEM will supply only genuine OEM parts. Inspection and acceptance shall take place at Destination after verification of preservation, individual packaging and marking requirements. Failure to comply with packaging requirements will result in rejection and nonpayment. Delivery shall be FOB Destination to USCG Surface Forces Logistics Center, 2401 Hawkins Point Road, Receiving Room -Bldg88A, Baltimore, MD 21226-5000. PRESERVATION, PACKING, & MARKING SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS PACKAGING INSTRUCTIONS SET FORTH IN IAW ASTM-D-3951 AND SP-PP&M-001. This synopsis/solicitation is issued pursuant to FAR 6.302-1. The resultant purchase order will be awarded using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR 13.5. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received NLT 8 May 2015 COB 12:00 p.m. EST shall be considered by the Agency.
