Description

AMENDMENT # 1 is to provide additional information in regards to the sole source to Cintel for Vigilant Solutions. 1) Other LPR systems do not provide sharing connections among law enforcement users of Vigilant LPR systems. The only company who can provide that is Vigilant, and that is what the FBI requires and currently uses. 2) Other LPR systems don't have the extensive user base of law enforcement customers that vigilant does for sharing to be setup with. Market Research has shown that Vigilant has hundreds of agencies across the united states, other LPR systems have around 20. The other LPR systems are more centralized compared to the Vigilant LPR system which is nationwide. The FBI requires a LPR system that is nationwide. 3) The law enforcement agencies we are needing to connect with utilize vigilant solutions for their equipment and system. This is one of the reasons we must have Vigilant LPR systems. 4) There are other companies out there that produce license plate reading technology, but none that have a distributed architecture like vigilant which allows for easy connections and sharing with other law enforcement. 5) Vigilant has the majority of the law enforcement agencies that we already have established sharing relationships with and want to continue sharing.
