Description
This is a Sources Sought Request Sources Sought/Request for Information: National Security Technologies (NSTec) is seeking sources for a SUBCONTRACTOR to provide Welding Inspection and Materials Testing Services Staff Augmentation on an as needed basis. National Security Technologies, LLC, (NSTec) (CONTRACTOR) is a prime management and operating contractor for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), Nevada Site Office (NFO). CONTRACTOR employees more than 2500 highly skilled and trained science, technology and engineering professionals at sites in Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) Mercury, NV, North Las Vegas, Nevada, Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland, Los Alamos, New Mexico, Livermore, California, and Santa Barbara California. The Majority of the CONTRACTOR's work is performed at the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS). The NNSS is located 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada at 1360 square-miles of facilities and laboratories. The NNSS is a premier outdoor testing, evaluation, and training facility in support of national defense, as well as research and development programs, National Weapons Laboratories, homeland security, nonproliferation testing and treaty verification training, and radiological detection and first responder training. The Quality Control and Calibration Services Department (QCCD) provides welding or nondestructive examination (NDE) inspections or materials testing services (grout, mortar, concrete, stemming, soil analysis and compaction) in support of projects at facilities located in North Las Vegas, Nevada, the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS), located 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas, and/or at the Subcontractor's facility located within the Las Vegas area. Periodically, CONTRACTOR's programs and project workload makes it necessary to augment staff for these services. A. Material Testing Inspectors (MTIs) estimated 2080 hours per year (as needed) shall be certified by the American Concrete Institute (ACI) in laboratory and field testing. B. Certified Welding Inspectors (CWIs) estimated 2080 hours per year (as needed) shall be American Welding Society, Standard D1.1, Certified Welding Inspector credentials Note: CWI work is covered by the Project Labor Agreements between Contractor and the Southern Nevada Building and Construction Trades Council and other Signatory Unions.
