Description

The VHA National Radiation Oncology (NDRO) Program is evaluating the use commercially available Patient Reported Outcomes (PRO) software for use by all VHA Radiation Oncology Program NDRO will conduct a 9 month pilot study of prospective cloud-base PRO software. For this study, four VAMC Radiation Oncology Services (ROS) will each participate. The contractor will encourage cancer patients to self-register for the purpose of reporting outcomes. Through this contract, VA will request access data reported to the contractor by Veterans. The four pilot centers will assess the utility of accessing the data. The PRO shall be cloud based, roles/permissions-based, and Software as a service (SaaS) platform that is HIPAA compliant (security), 2014 American Recovery & Reinvestment Act-Health Information Technology for Economic & Clinical Health (ARRA HiTech) Act certified as a modular Electronic Health Record, including HL7and Blue Button Plus initiative compliant (interoperability) and 21 CFR Part 11 compliant (research).
