Description

The SAO-West | VISN 18 NCO located in Amarillo, TX on behalf of the Amarillo VA Health Care System, 6010 Amarillo Blvd. West, Amarillo, TX 79106 intends to negotiate a firm fixed-price contract, Base + 2 Option Years, with The Marlin Company, 10 Research Parkway, Wallingford, CT 06492 on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. The acquisition will be accomplished using a combination of commercial item procedures in accordance with FAR Parts 8 and 12 for the continuation of subscription services of the following: Thirteen (13) units at the Amarillo, Texas VA Health Care System including one (1) kit and twelve (12) clones; Two (2) units at the Lubbock, Texas Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) including one (1) kit and one (1) clone. The contractor will be required to provide service under the normal business hours and must be certified by The Marlin Company to provide any of said relocation services at the station. The 'revised' North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 541850. Any firms who wish to identify their interests and capability to provide this service must provide proof that authorization from the manufacturer has been attained by notifying the Contract Specialist no later than 4:00 PM Central Standard Time, May 14, 2015. Such notification must include any documentation that includes certifications and description of services that meets or exceeds the capabilities of the manufacturer. Notifications shall be mailed or emailed to Robyn J. Nussbaum (90C), Contract Specialist, SAO-West | VISN 18 NCO, 7201 I-40 West, Suite 100, Amarillo, TX 79106 or robyn.nussbaum@va.gov. Upon receipt of any such notifications, the Contract Specialist will determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement or proceed with sole source negotiations. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the SAO-West | VISN 18 NCO will proceed with the sole source negotiation with The Marlin Company. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes.
