Description

Special Notice Description: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT The Department of Navy- Naval Criminal Investigation Services (NCIS) intends to award on a sole source basis a purchase order for Evidence Collection Kits, gunshot Residue evidence collection kits on or before 15, May 2015 to Tri-tech Forensics Inc., 4019 Executive Park Blvd, Southport NC 28461-8026. Reference FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The prospective contractor shall provide the forensic evidence collection kits to the Department of Navy NCIS. These forensic evidence collections kits have been DOD approved and support the Department of Defense Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Program (SAPR). Tri-tech Forensic Inc. is the only company capable of providing these evidence collection kits. The NAICS code is 334516. Please review the attachment (1) List of supplies (2) locations and submit a quote for the requested supplies for CONUS AND OCONUS locations. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within seven (7) calendar days after the date of the publication of this notice, will be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government All responses must be submitted to the Government point of contact at the email address shown below.
