CONTACT INFORMATION CAN BE FOUND WITHIN THE BODY OF THS ANNOUNCEMENT ************ NASA/MSFC has a requirement for the purchase of one (1) Clyde Space Cubesat 3G EPS Motherboard, (1) Clyde Space Cubesat Standalone battery 30 Whr and three 3U side Solar Panels. These components are compatible with previous purchased electronic boards acquired from the same company and are compatible with hardware built in-house. All the components acquired from Clydespace Ltd. have the same interface for communication and for power as the electronic boards developed in-house for small satellites. In house developement efforts utilized this battery and motherboard combination for a developmental design that is now moving to a flight article. If a different battery combination was to be selected, integration, design and testing would have to be completed, adding a significant cost/schedule impact to the project. The Clyde Space battery and motherboard are space qualified components. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications in writing to Harold Smith/ARCS at harold.smith-1@NASA.GOV or fax to 256-961-9604 no later than 2:00 p.m. Local time on 05/14/2015. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
