THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR AIRBORNE CAMPAIGN. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to provide answers to the following questions received in response to the solicitation. (Question #1) Is the requirement for this solicitation only for a pilot? (Answer #1) No, this is for the pilot, plane, and all associated operating costs (ferrying, maintenance, fuel, lodging, per diem, etc). (Question #2) If an aircraft is also required for this solicitation, does the aircraft required to already have the G-LiHT installed or will NASA provide the system? (Answer #2) The provider needs to provide flight rated I&T hardware for the installation, and FAA and NASA airworthiness and safety reviews and approvals must be obtained before the start of the campaign (no later than the second week in May). G-LiHT needs to have been previously installed and successfully demonstrated on the providers aircraft to ensure data quality and continuity. (Question #3) Is there a time duration period for this effort other the flight hours? (ie. days) (Answer #3) No, there is no time duration period for this effort other the flight hours; however the campaign must begin no later than the second week of May. (Question #4) Has a contractor performed similar work to this for the government in the past? If available, please provide the incumbent contract number. (Answer #4) Yes, a Contractor has performed similar work for the government in the past under Purchase Order NNG14HC37P.
