- Description
- This is a Subcontracting Opportunity with Red Rock Job Corps Center / Adams & Associates Inc. and not with the U.S. Department of Labor. The existing exterior metal stairs are the only entrance into this building. This project requires the contractor to construct new exterior metal stairs from the ground floor to the first floor; a rise of approximately 12 feet. The contractor will need to furnish and install all required bolts, epoxy, etc. as necessary to attach the new support angle to the exterior concrete building. Contractor will be required to patch and repair concrete as necessary where existing support angle are removed and new ones installed. Paint new angles with one (1) coat rust inhibitive primer and two (2) coast deck enamel. OPTION A: Contractor shall clean up the scale on existing support angle, prime one (1) coat rust inhibitive and paint with two coats of deck enamel. Contractor shall design a new stair with 1/4 inch steel diamond plate stair treads, risers, and landing. The design, fabrication and installation of the structure shall support a uniform live load of 150 pounds per square foot. Prime all steel with a rust inhibitive primer and finish with two coats of deck enamel on the face and underneath of the entire new stair way. The building is currently occupied. Contractor will need to have a construction schedule that would be conducive to occupying the building while the construction can occur. The project could be worked on during the weekends and after 4:30pm daily. Complete bid package will be distributed at the mandatory bid walk through for interested contractors on May 20, 2015 at 4:00pm EST. Contractor must conform to the Davis Bacon Wage Rates for Sullivan County PA.
