Description

The Department of Veteran Affairs, Service Area Office - Central Region (SAOC), anticipates soliciting proposals and awarding a contract for Custom Sterile Procedure Packs for the SAO Central Region Veterans Heath Administration Medical Facilities. The Contractor shall provide all labor; materials, transportation, equipment and supervision, in compliance with federal, state and local regulations, to provide for a Custom Sterile Procedure Pack Program for the production and delivery of individualized custom procedure packs to be utilized by an estimated 44 medical centers throughout the SAO Central Region. The packs shall be available for distribution by the Medical Surgical Prime Vendor (MSPV) or by direct purchase, at the discretion of the local facility. The Custom Sterile Procedure Pack Program will include but not limited to; pack assembly/manufacture, sterilization, quality assurance, and packaging, contractor electronic communication, electronic ordering, reporting, and delivery. Specific custom sterile procedure packs to include a component catalog that facilitates the assembly of custom sterile procedure packs to specific facility requirements will be listed in schedule of items. All aspects of pack assembly, packaging and sterilization must adhere to the quality control standards set by the FDA and be TAA compliant. The solicitation will be advertised as Full and Open Competition. The Government intends to award Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Requirements Contract(s) in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions and specifications of the solicitation. The term of the contract is for one year with four (4) one year options. NAICS code is 339113 - Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing with a size standard of 500 employees. The solicitation documents will be issued on or about June 19, 2015. The date is not firm and may change due to events out of our control. Proposals will be due on or about July 24, 2015. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for proposals. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice. There will be a pre-proposal conference scheduled sometime within two weeks after the solicitation documents have been published. The solicitation documents shall include all relevant information to this pre-proposal conference. Solicitation documents may be obtained electronically at Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fbo.gov. The prospective offeror is responsible for downloading all documents including amendments at the FBO website without further notification from the Contracting Officer.
