Description

Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Credentialing/Issuance Station Refresh This is a Request for Information (RFI) only. Do not submit a proposal. It is requested that all companies interested in participating in this effort please note their interest and provide indication of their respective capabilities to perform the effort described in the attached draft Performance Work Statement (PWS). It is also requested that the vendor provide the requested information below. This RFI is for planning purposes only and shall not be considered an Invitation for Bid, Request for Task Execution Plan, Request for Quotation or a Request for Proposal. Additionally, there is no obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services described in this RFI. Your response to this RFI will be treated only as information for the Government to consider. The Government does not reimburse respondents for any costs associated with submission of the information being requested or, reimburse expenses incurred for responses to this RFI. You will not be entitled to payment for direct or indirect costs that you incur in responding to this RFI. This request does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or the authority to enter into negotiations to award a contract. No funds have been authorized, appropriated or received for this effort. The information provided may be used by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in developing its acquisition strategy and PWS. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary, restricted or competition sensitive information contained in their response. It is requested that you address the following in your RFI response: 1.The PWS equipment listing is based on equipment which was purchased over 2 years ago, are there more recent hardware/software products that meet the VA requirements, as well as being applicable products and services that are on the GSA FIPS-201 Approved Products List (APL) and are in compliance with the current version of the Standard and its supporting Publications? 2.If so, provide an UP TO DATE listing of your proposed hardware/software configuration, a BRIEF summary of your technical approach to meet the requirements, and a list of the salient characteristics of each hardware/software component in your configuration. 3.A Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost estimate for implementing your configuration into a complete station (both with a Governent provided computer and without). 4.Are there any elements not included or referenced by this RFI that are critical to success for implementing VA PIV Credentialing Stations? Please also indicate any known impacts and/or considerations associated with the PIV requirements described above and the guidance set forth by the General Services Administration (GSA) for acquiring only federally approved products and services for implementation of HSPD-12. 5.Briefly describe your approach for configuring, installing, testing and training an HSPD-12 PIV Credentialing solution. Please email submissions NO LATER THAN May 22, 2015 at 12:00 P.M. EST to jaesun.riley@va.gov. Please include "PIV Station RFI" in the subject line of your email.
