Description
US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA), Fort Detrick, MD acting on behalf of the US Army Institute of Chemical Defense (USAICD). On behalf of the US Army Institute of Chemical Defense (USAICD), the US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) is issuing this notice of intent (NOI) to negotiate a 12 month base period and three 12 month option year periods for annual preventative maintenance (PM) and emergency repair services for the Agilent Technologies manufactured product: Varian 600 MHz nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) instrument (SN: NMR600-MY11382101). USAMRICD requires contract support services at the Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD site. This is a non-personal services contract to provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, transportation, tools, materials, supervision and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform a Service Contract for the Varian 600 MHz NMR instrument. Repairs and maintenance include, but are not limited to, software upgrades, replacement of malfunctioning hardware and software, qualification of instrument after repair and one preventive maintenance visit per year. The contractor shall accomplish the assigned work by employing and utilizing qualified personnel with appropriate combinations of education, training, and experience. The contractor shall match personnel skills to the work or task with a minimum of under/over employment of resources. The contractor shall ensure the labor categories, labor rates, and man-hours utilized in the performance of this contract hereunder will be the minimum necessary to accomplish the task. The Contractor shall provide the necessary resources and infrastructure to manage, perform, and administer the contract. This procurement will be awarded using simplified acquisition procedures. The anticipated award date is May 29, 2015. The Justification and Approval (J&A) citing the authority of FAR 6.302-1, will be posted for the public on or about 1 June 2015.
