- Strong Bonds Instructor Certification training to Army Chaplains, Chaplain assistants, and volunteer instructors as Phase III of the Strong Bonds Instructor Training Course. Instruction shall be provided utilizing an evidence based modular training approach in personal relationship and resiliency topics associated with active military married couples, Army families and single Soldiers. Over the past ten years, the Chaplain Corps has successfully fielded the Strong Bonds program throughout the Army. Strong Bonds is a skills-based relationship building program led by Army Chaplains. It is the Army Chief of Chaplain's program designed to assist commanders in building and strengthening the structure of Army families. Unit ministries teams (UMTs) are charged with providing specialized training for single Soldiers, married couples, and families. Training is also conducted as part of the deployment cycle (pre-deployment, deployment, and reintegration). The foundation for the Strong Bonds curriculum is comprised of training material from the most sought after and respected practitioners of faith-based and secular relationship building programs. Chaplains, Chaplain Assistants, and family members receive certification training and conduct training Army-wide utilizing this curriculum. The objectives are to provide instructor certification training for Army chaplains, Chaplain Assistants and volunteer instructors in the use of modular evidence based relationship and resiliency skills training designed: (1) To enhance the habit of assuming goodwill regarding other's motives and behaviors; (2) To increase respect for differences of ideas, manners of behaving and relating; (3) To increase knowledge and skills for power over and control of personal internal emotional climates; and (4) To provide essential tools for creating effective relationships. The Contractor shall provide training that will be quote mark Train the Trainer quote mark events that will enable individuals trained to conduct training for Soldiers and Family members. A total of seven (7) training events will be conducted annually.
