Description
The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), intends to issue a solicitation for an Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business (SDVOB) set-aside, Firm Fixed-Price contract for the renovation and upgrade to the NMFS/Northeast Fisheries Science Center located at Woods Hole, Massachusetts within the next five to ten days on the FedBizOpps website at www.fbo.gov. In with FAR 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project is: between $25,000 and $100,000. The NAICS code for this specialty is #236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction). The size standard is $36.5 million. At this time, no pre-solicitation conference is planned for this solicitation. If the government does elect to hold a pre-solicitation conference, the pre-solicitation announcement will be modified accordingly. The Contractor shall provide labor, materials and equipment for demolition within the identified areas and install new metal furring wall support system, metal stud walls, gypsum, electrical, suspended ceiling, lights, painting, walls, carpeting, doors and frames, and ductless air conditioning heat pump. This solicitation will be issued as an Request for Quote (RFQ) which will result in the award of a single firm-fixed price (FFP) construction contract. The estimated performance period for completion of construction is 35 calendar days from Notice to Proceed (NTP). Payment bonds or alternative payment protection will be required for the full amount (100%) of the awarded contract before the NTP can be issued. VETS-100 Requirement: Per the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 22.1303 all Quoters must complete their VETS-100 report via the Department of Labor website at https://vets100.vets.dol.gov/ to be eligible for award.
