15SNB47_spec note_att 15SNB47_spec note N00164-15-S-NB47 - REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)/SOURCES SOUGHT - Perimeter Security Sensors System (PSSS) - FSC 5865 - NAICS 334511 Issue Date: 12 MAY 2015 Closing Date: 5 JUN 2015 MARKET SURVEY: The Government is issuing this RFI/sources sought announcement as part of market research related to Under Vehicle Inspection System (UVIS). Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division located at the Naval Support Activity, Crane, IN is seeking information from companies with the capabilities and facilities to provide Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) or Non-Developmental Items (NDI) for an Perimeter Security Sensors System (PSSS) capable of detecting penetration into a secured area. The PSSS shall be able to detect penetration through a parameter, be able to identify the location of the breach and provide a local or remote monitoring station with system alerts and breach location data. As an objective, the PSSS may include additional sensors or capabilities to reduce false positive detections. PSSS should also use open architecture and standard communications protocols to facilitate multi-system integration. The attached spreadsheet should be completed and submitted to specify system capabilities. Responses are requested of those suppliers who can provide a PSSS or components of a PSSS ready for test and demonstration purposes. All interested parties are encouraged to submit company and product literature, white paper, and/or other pertinent information, such as a description with performance parameters and a statement of current availability, summary of prior testing, test reports, and Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) costs for budgetary estimate for pricing of test articles and production units, for the Government(s) consideration by 2:00 PM Eastern Time on 5 June 2015. Responses are to be limited to 3 pages, not including datasheets. Responses to this Market Survey shall include the following: Submitter's Name Street Address, City, State, Zip Code Business Size Point of Contact (POC) POC Telephone Announcement Number: N00164-15-S-NB46 Contractors must be properly registered in the Government System for Award Management database (SAM). Contactors may obtain information on SAM registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-866-606-8220, or via the Internet at www.sam.gov. Contractors may need to be properly registered in the Joint Certification Program (JCP) in order to receive the controlled attachments. Contractors may obtain information on JCP via the Internet at http://www.dlis.dla.mil. At the current time, NO FUNDING IS AVAILABLE for contractual efforts. This RFI/sources sought announcement does not constitute an Invitation for Bid (IFB) or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and it is not a commitment by the Government to procure. The Government is only seeking information and industry feedback for possible future requirements.
