- 15SNB46_spec note N00164-15-S-NB46 - REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)/SOURCES SOUGHT - Under Vehicle Inspection System (UVIS) - FSC 5865 - NAICS 334511 Issue Date: 12 MAY 2015 Closing Date: 3 JUN 2015 MARKET SURVEY: The Government is issuing this RFI/sources sought announcement as part of market research related to Under Vehicle Inspection System (UVIS). Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division located at the Naval Support Activity, Crane, IN is seeking information from companies with the capabilities and facilities to provide Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) or Non-Developmental Items (NDI) for an Under Vehicle Inspection System (UVIS). The UVIS shall be used to screen and inspect the underside of vehicles as they pass through a control point via either cameras or a combination of cameras and other sensors. The system shall display sensor data for user analysis. The system may use algorithms to detect abnormalities or areas of concern to assist the user in clearing the vehicle. The system may be portable or permanently installed in place of operation. Vehicles passing through the control point may consist of small personal cars through large/heavy ruggedized military vehicles. All interested parties are encouraged to submit company and product literature, white paper no longer than 10 pages, and/or other pertinent information, such as a description with performance parameters and a statement of current availability, summary of prior testing, test reports, and Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) costs for budgetary estimate for pricing of test articles and production units, for the Government(s) consideration by 2:00 PM Eastern Time on 3 June 2015. Contractors may need to be properly registered in the Joint Certification Program (JCP) in order to receive the controlled attachments. Contractors may obtain information on JCP via the Internet at http://www.dlis.dla.mil. At the current time, NO FUNDING IS AVAILABLE for contractual efforts. This RFI/sources sought announcement does not constitute an Invitation for Bid (IFB) or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and it is not a commitment by the Government to procure. The Government is only seeking information and industry feedback for possible future requirements.
