- ****ATTENTION**** FORMAL COMMUNICATION RELATED TO THIS ACQUISITION SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO Mr. Dexter J. Hornsby, Contracting Officer, (256) 876-5045, or Mr. Brian Sanders, Contracting Specialist, (256) 313-4338. ****ATTENTION**** THIS AMENDS THE PRE-SOLICITATION TO REVISE THE ARMY FLEET AIRCRAFT LIST, REMOVE MODERNIZED TOOL KITS VERBIAGE, REVISE COTS VERBIAGE TO COMMERCIAL, AND TO UPDATE THE SOLICITATION RESPONSE DATE**** The Army has a requirement for a five year, Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract for a minimum quantity of 60 each, and a maximum quantity of 969 each for the Army Modernized Maintenance Stands. The maintenance stands provide elevated positioning and fall protection support during maintenance operations and will be used to support maintenance operations on the Army's fleet of UH-60 Blackhawk, AH-64 Apache, CH-47 Chinook, LUH-72, and Unmanned Aerial System aircrafts. PM AGSE plans to procure up to six hundred and twenty six (626) Maintenance Stands from FY16 to FY20 to meet this requirement. The contract will be utilized for the purchasing, shipping, and provisioning of the MMS. The MMS is a commercial item and will be procured using FAR Part 12 procedures. Inspection and Acceptance for the Maintenance Stands will be at Origin. FOB Point will be at Destination. Delivery will be to various locations throughout CONUS/OCONUS, a list of which will be provided with the solicitation. The U.S. Government anticipates award of one single source contract as a result of this solicitation. Organizations that can meet the requirements herein are encouraged to identify themselves. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about 26 May 2015 with a proposal due date of 29 June, 2015. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release for solicitation: however, the solicitation will not close prior to the date stated above.
