AMENDMENT 0001 issued 5-13-2015: Number of attendees permitted is reduced from 40 to 25 due to space restrictions. The deadline for registration is revised to Friday, May 22nd 3:00pm EST. EVENT: Industry day to Establish Print Partners for Aeronautical Charts DATE: Thursday, May 28, 2015 LOCATION: Federal Aviation Administration Aeronautical Information Services 1575 I St NW Washington, DC 20005 TIME: 8:00am EST STATEMENT OF OBJECTIVES: The FAA is seeking innovations for providing aeronautical charting information to the general public using new technology and processes. Currently, this requirement is fulfilled using the traditional lithographic printing process. The FAA is seeking commercial industry solutions to provide a variety of aeronautical charts. The aeronautical charts are used by commercial airlines, private pilots, and the United States Air Force (USAF) for aeronautical navigational purposes. See the attached draft Statement of Objectives for more details. PURPOSE: The purpose of this event is to gather information about vendor capabilities and interest in providing print-on-demand platforms for aeronautical charts. In the first morning session, an informative presentation will be conducted by the government. In the afternoon, the government will allow interested vendors the opportunity to provide a one-on-one capability briefing. Capability briefings shall be limited to no more than 30 minutes per company. REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS: To register for this event, send a completed registration form (attachment) to the primary POC, the Contracting Officer, Monica Price, at email address monica.price@faa.gov. Registration must be received and confirmed no later than 5:00pm EST May 22, 2015. Please note that space is limited. Only advanced registered attendees may attend this event. No more than three (3) representatives per company will be permitted and seating is limited to the first 25 people registered. NOTE: This Industry Day is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal, nor as a contract or commitment of any kind, nor as an obligation on the part of the FAA to acquire these services. The Government shall not be liable for payment of any costs attributed to the preparation and submission of requested market research information, capability briefings or other documentation submitted as part of your voluntary participation in this industry day. Costs of travel shall not be reimbursed to attendees, and there is no entitlement to payment by the FAA of direct or indirect costs or charges that are incurred as a result of submission of responses to this Industry Day announcement and/or attendance to the Industry Day event.
