Description
NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 9 (NCO 9) intends to award a sole source contract award to Cooper-Atkins Corporation, 33 Reed's Gap Rd, Middlefield, CT 06455. The Period of Performance for Contract Award will be one (1) twelve (12) month base period plus four (4) twelve (12) month option periods. Contractor shall furnish all labor, transportation, parts, and expertise necessary to provide preventive maintenance and emergency (unscheduled) maintenance of the Cooper-Atkins Temp Trak Equipment. Hours of coverage is 24 X 7, 365 days per year. Equipment located at VA Medical Center, 2250 Leestown Road, Lexington, KY 40511. Cooper-Atkins' Preventive Maintenance processes for its Temp Trak Systems include calibration of the injector using Cooper-Atkins' proprietary and copyrighted software. Cooper-Atkins designed such software specifically for this purpose. This software is available only to Cooper-Atkins authorized field service representatives and others who have been trained, authorized and licensed to use the software. Producing copies and the use of Cooper-Atkins' proprietary and copyrighted calibration software without a license from, or authorization by Cooper-Atkins is strictly prohibited. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by May 27th, 2015, 12:00 p.m. (EDT). Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to dustin.epperson@va.gov. Telephone requests or inquires will not be accepted.
