Description

COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION (I) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (II) This solicitation document is issued as a request for proposal (RFP). Submit written proposals for RFP number DOL-15OCIOCIONAT-0259. (III) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-82 (IV) This acquisition is set aside 100% for small businesses. The associated NAICS code is 541519. The small business size standard is 150 employees. (V) This combined solicitation/synopsis is for purchase of the following commercial services: 0001. Brocade Maintenance Renewal Bundle, 2 EA 0002. Field Qualification Engineer Onsite Brocade, 1 EA 0003. Field Qualification Service (Per Unit Charge) Brocade, 2 EA The period of performance (POP) will be will be 12 months from date of delivery. Delivery is no later than 30 days from date of award. (VI) Description of requirements is as follows: A.Background Information OCIO requires renewal of maintenance and support services to cover Brocade Storage Area Network (SAN) hardware and software. Coverage is required to ensure daily operation of the Employee Computer Network (ECN) / Department Computer Network (DCN) and all dependencies. These storage components are crucial to the many of DOL's mission and essential functions. B.Technical Objectives The purpose of this request is to procure Brocade Support for the two servers a listed under specific requirements. Support also covers the server components. All support services must be performed by a delegate certified and authorized by the original equipment manufacturer. SERVICES TO BE PERFORMED A.General Requirements The contractor shall independently perform all work and furnish all labor, materials, supplies, equipment, and services (except as otherwise specified in the contract). The provider of information technology shall certify that: All components shipped with the chassis are covered under this support contract to include: •Chassis/Switch •Line cards •Optics and LEDs •Management & Switch Fabric Modules •AC power supply fans •Exhaust & power supply fans All components and applications are in new condition and authorized by the original manufacturer, covered under the manufacturer's warranties, and entitled to any included support and maintenance agreements.
