Description

This is a Presolicitation NOTICE only. This notice shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). No responses are required with this notice. The Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System (GCVHCS) has a requirement for Emergency Room Physicians that are Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (no exceptions) and have current license, ACLS and BLS certifications. The VA is a Level II Medical Facility with a level III Emergency Department, operating 24/7 365 days a year. The Offeror is requested to have a minimum of ten (10) ER physicians and no more than twenty (20) by contract start that meet this requirement and also carry Medical Liability Insurance ($1 million per occurrence). There will be time allowed for credentialing (4-8 weeks) and backgrounds. In addition, another ER Physician shall provide double coverage from the hours of 10 am to 8 pm Monday through Friday which is not part of the current contract. The NAICS code is 621111, Offices of Physicians (except Mental Health Specialists) (size standard of $10.0 million). VA256-14-R-1173 formal solicitation shall be released to www.fbo.gov on or around May 27th, 2015 with proposals due July 7th, 2015 and is set-aside for SMALL business. Questions are encouraged to wait until the actual solicitation is released and reviewed in its entirety and may be emailed to Melanie.Grigsby@va.gov using "VA256-14-R-1173" in the subject line by June 18th. Once that date has arrived, all questions will be provided answers and posted in an amendment that will also be released to www.fbo.gov. No telephone requests will be responded to; all questions must be in writing/email. Current Interim contract is provided for by the Incumbent, Keith Van Meter & Associates. Again, as stated above, any information/questions received will be responded to after June 18th. All interested parties are reminded to be registered with System Award Management (SAM) at http://www.sam.gov in order to be eligible for award of Government contracts.
