SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE FOR MARKET RESEARCH ONLY - This notice does not constitute a solicitation announcement or restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach and NO AWARD will occur from this notice. NO SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATIONS, OR DRAWINGS are available for this notice. Responses to this Sources Sought notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potentially qualified small business sources to include small businesses in the following categories: Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, Certified HUBZone, Woman-Owned, and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned. Work would occur as assigned primarily by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District. The New Orleans District may however; elect to transfer capacity to other USACE Districts within the Mississippi Valley Division, which includes Vicksburg, MS; Memphis, TN; St Louis, MO; Rock Island, IL; and St. Paul, MN. The NAICS is 541330. The Architect Engineer (A-E) shall demonstrate through professional registration, company and personnel resumes, executed examples, and supporting customer feedback documentation for the ability to provide engineering and lab support of the following activities: Professionally qualified staff to include: oProject Manager oCivil Engineer oEnvironmental Engineer oCorrosion Engineer oGeotechnical Engineer oStructural Engineer oElectrical Engineer oMechanical Engineer oGeologist oEngineering Technician oLaboratory Technician oDraftsmen/CADD operator oGIS Technician oEnvironmental Professional -Soil Borings (3-inch general type and 5-inchundisturbed type) -Minimum three 4-person drill crews -Minimum two 2-person survey crews -Laboratory Soil Testing (i.e. soil strength tests Q, R, S and DSS tests) -Concrete and Other Materials Testing -Geotechnical design services for flood control structures, levees,floodwalls,and navigational structures -FLAC (Fast Lagrangian Analysis of Continua) modeling for both 2D and 3D of Flood Risk Reduction Systems such as pile-founded T-walls, I-walls, earthen embankments, and cofferdams -HTRW (Hazardous Toxic Radioactive Waste) remediation design -Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) -Corrosion mitigation design -Periodic Structural Inspections of flood control, and navigational structures and bridges and Levee Periodic Inspections -Construction Quality Assurance Testing -CADD, Bently MicroStation design files, computer-generated geotechnical databases, GIS - Laboratory within 50 road miles of the New Orleans District Headquarters Building The submission is limited to 15 pages (30 pages front and back), to include: 1) AE firm's name, address, point of contact, phone number, and e-mail address. 2) A-E firm's interest in submitting a SF330 for an announcement if issued. 3) A-E firm's capability to perform a contract of this complexity and examples of comparable work performed within the past 10 years based on the above criteria. 4) Describe the professional qualifications of your firm, including any lab certifications. Provide the number and qualifications of registered professional personnel in the key disciplines listed above. 5) Describe your firm's capacity to perform up to approximately $3,000,000.00 in work of the required type in a one-year period and accomplish the anticipated work in an efficient and quality manner. 6) Verification of Small Business Administration (SBA) certification(s). All interested A-E firms should provide a response no later than 1400 hrs central time, 22 May 2015.
