- N00164-15-S-NB49 - REQUEST FOR INFORMATION - AN/SPS-49A(V)1 RADAR TECH REFRESH MODIFICATION - FSG 58 - NAICS 334511 Issue Date 15 MAY 2015 -Closing Date 02 JUN 2015 MARKET RESEARCH - REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI): This is NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS and no contract will be awarded from this RFI. There is no anticipated formal solicitation at this time. Contractors must be properly registered in the Government(s) Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and in the Joint Certification Program (JCP) in order to receive the RFI attachments. Offerors may obtain information on CCR registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-866-606-8220 or via the Internet at https://www.sam.gov. Information about the JCP is located at http://www.dlis.dla.mil. The RFI attachments will be posted to FedBizOpps at the same time the RFI is posted. FedBizOpps may be accessed at http://www.fbo.gov. This REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) is issued by the Department of the Navy, Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane, IN on behalf of the Program Executive Office (PEO) Integrated Warfare Systems (IWS) 2.0 Above Water Sensors Directorate. The Government is conducting market research related to a shipboard AN/SPS-49A(V)1 Radar Tech Refresh Modification. The AN/SPS-49A(V)1 is a long-range target detection and reporting air surveillance radar used aboard United States Navy ships. The AN/SPS-49A(V)1 is installed on 12 LSD-class ships and four land sites. This RFI is for market research purposes only and does NOT constitute a Request for Proposal. This notice shall not be construed as a contract, a promise to contract, or as a commitment of any kind by the Government. The Government is NOT seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. This RFI is issued solely for informational, planning purposes, and market research in accordance with FAR Part 10. This RFI consists of the following: N00164-15-S-NB49, SF33 which contains a detailed request for unclassified information Attachment 1: AN/SPS-49 radar classification guide that is distribution D (CONTROLLED, see JCP note) Attachment 2: Unclassified performance specification document (CONTROLLED, see JCP note) Attachment 3: AN/SPS-49B(V) RFI Response Form SUBMISSION OF RESPONSES: NSWC Crane will accept only electronic unclassified submission of responses. The completed Attachment 3 AN/SPS-49B(V) RFI Form and (optional) Whitepaper responses are due 18 calendar days from the date of this posting to Lisa Good at the lisa.good@navy.mil. All responses shall be unclassified and shall be submitted to the Contracting Officer by 11:00 a.m. local time on 02 JUN 2015. The U.S. Government is in no way liable to pay for or reimburse any companies, entities, or individuals that respond to this announcement. Any costs incurred by interested parties in response to this RFI announcement will NOT be reimbursed. All information marked as proprietary information will be safeguarded to prevent disclosures to non-Government personnel and entities.
