- This Sources Sought Notice/Request for Information is for MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY and shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal or an obligation on the part of the Army Contracting Command-APG, to acquire any products or services. The Agency does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Sources Sought, nor pay for the information provided. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges shall arise as a result of submission of responses to this Sources Sought and the Agency's use of such information. Organizations are not required to submit a response to this notice. Failure to respond to this notice will not prevent an organization from responding to future notices or announcements. This market research is for INFORMATION GATHERING PURPOSES ONLY in order to begin identifying potential sources. Background: The U.S. Army Research Development and Engineering Command, Edgewood Chemical Biological Center, (ECBC), Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD is the nation's principal research and development resource for non-medical chemical biological (CB) Defense, that supports all phases of the acquisition lifecycle - from basic and applied research through technology development, engineering design, equipment evaluation, product support, sustainment, field operations, and demilitarization - to address its customer's unique requirements. ECBC drives technology transitions from research to engineering and development to production, fielding and sustainment. To support these CB concept through sustainment solutions, ECBC leverages its engineering capabilities and personnel who are certified across the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act acquisition career fields to ensure technologies are developed to meet the warfighter's needs. To accomplish this, ECBC maintains a cadre of systems engineering professionals trained in Systems Planning, Research, Development and Engineering (SPRDE) to achieve CBRNE solutions for program offices in the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical Biological Defense (JPEO-CBD), U.S. Army and other agency partners. Through the systems engineering process, ECBC provides life-cycle support to continuously maintain item readiness, address ongoing user concerns and seek improvements to products in close coordination with partner Program Managers. ECBC provides support in the commodity areas of detection, protection, decontamination, smoke and obscuration. Expertise and/or capabilities: CBRNE Acquisition Workforce | Systems Engineering (Detection, Protection, Decontamination, & Smoke) Life Cycle Engineering (Concept Development, Rapid Prototyping, Manufacturing Support) The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI)/Sources Sought is to identify potential Businesses that can provide timely delivery of Government requested material to the address provided on the attached Statement of Work (SOW). The Government is procuring CBARR Generators). Please note: All Generators shall be of the same manufacture for Consistency. Supplier must be an authorized retailer to keep the warranty intact. The requested information will be used by the Government for market research purposes only and is not a Request for Proposal or a Request for Quote in that it will not be used to place an order with any vendor directly. This is for informational purposes only and the Government will not be obligated to award to any interested vendors that present information in response to this RFI. If so, please identify the agency or non-government customer. 8.Has your company performed this type of effort or similar type of effort (to include size and complexity) in the past?
