- This Sources Sought notice is for informational and planning purposes only. The information from this market research is for planning purposes only and will assist the Government in planning its acquisition strategy. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a Request for Quotation (RFQ); it is strictly a Request for Information (RFI) as defined in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.201(e). NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT EXISTS. This RFI is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a RFP or as an obligation on the part of the Government for follow-on acquisition. Responses to this notice are not offers and will not be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. This is strictly market research and the Government will not entertain questions concerning this market research. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 811212. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 3559. The intent of this notice is determine the availability of qualified sources technically capable of providing Commercial maintenance and repair services for approximately five (5) 3D printers within the ADM Division, Aberdeen Proving Ground (Edgewood Area). EOS M270 DLMS 3D Systems SLA Viper 3D Systems SLA 3500 3D Systems SLA 7000 3D Systems Vanguard HS SLS The Government requires commercial full care maintenance contracts for state-of-the-art, reverse engineering and 3d imaging/laser scanning equipment. This capability uses laser technology and high end optics to collect data of existing, real world, physical items. Maintenance services shall be performed in accordance with the manfacturer's commercial practices. Contractors shall provide authorized SLS, Vanguard HS and EOS technicians to administer software upgrades, on-line technical support, and telephone assistance to resolve technical problems. Only authorized SLS, Vanguard HS and EOS technicians should service this equipment due to proprietary software and hardware technology. The Government is seeking vendors who may be able to perform this requirement in order to support a competitive procurement. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. The Government is seeking responses to this sources sought synopsis from all interested businesses capable of providing the requirement. Small businesses, in all socioeconomic categories (including, 8(a) Business Development Program, Historically Underutilized Business Zone, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned, Women-Owned Small Business, etc.) are highly encouraged to identify capabilities in meeting the requirements at fair market prices. Please indicate your business size(Small, Large etc...) in your responses. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. All responsible parties that feel they can provide this product should forward their capabilities in writing to the designated contracting point of contact - EMAILS ONLY.
