- HSCGG1-15-Q-PFA031 ISSUE DATE: 2 JUNE 2015 Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and disposal necessary to completely replace the exterior doors, transom, door hardware, trim, wall panels, blocking, etc. to the existing masonry opening at the west side of the museum as noted on the drawings. The existing storefront frame at this location (Door #103) shall remain and new storefront doors retrofitted to the opening with all new door hardware, stainless steel hinges, stainless steel cleats, keyed removable mullion, alarm exit devices, and including a new storefront infill panel at the transom. The primary library entrance (Door #101) shall completely replace the doors, transom, door frame, door hardware, trim, wall panels, blocking, etc. to existing gypsum board wall. New storefront doors and transom and frame shall be installed with pivot hinges, dark bronze hardware, keyed removable mullion, and people counter. Frame new doorway (Door #102) in corridor 114 for new single 3'-0" x 7'-0" solid core wood flush door with narrow vertical lite in a metal frame with new door hardware and cipher lock. Basement level (Door #001) existing storefront double doors shall remain, existing hand pulls shall be removed from both sides of the door so new rim exit devices and pulls can be installed with a new keyed removable mullion and cipher lock. Protect existing items to remain, including the ceramic tile floor and carpet floor. Upper level (Door #201) shall replace the door slabs with new solid core flush wood doors with narrow vertical lites, new stainless steel hinges, kick plates, install new keyed removable mullion and rim exit devices with a cipher lock and people counter. The frame at this location shall remain and have all the paint removed, new metal primer and paint applied on site. Asbestos containing joint sealant shall be removed from the door frame perimeter at Door #103 and Door #201. At all removable mullions, there shall be one continuous silencer strip top to bottom the same width as the mullion. Patch and repair masonry and gypsum board walls as required for installation of new doors, frames, trim, etc. All doors shall receive a new cipher lock based on the design indicated on the drawings. Remove and recycle or properly dispose of all construction debris. The new doors, frames, trim, etc. are based on the original building drawings, historic photographs, field measurement of original components and current code requirements. The estimated cost range of this project is between $100,000.00 and $150,000.00. Payment and Performance Bonds will be required. Solicitation packages will be available on or about 2 June 2015. The tentative date set for receipt of quotations is scheduled for 2 July 2015 by 4:00 pm. The applicable NAICS code is 238290 Other Building Equipment Contractors with a small business size standard $15 Million. Estimated performance time is 14 weeks after issuance of Notice to Proceed. This acquisition is issued pursuant to FAR Part 13 and is 100% Set-Aside for Small Business concerns.
