- Description
- The Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Natick Contracting Division, Natick, MA, in support of the US Army Natick Soldier RD&E Center (NSRDEC), intends to award purchase order to Dewetron Inc of Wakefield RI for Portable Data Acquisition Platform. The Dewetron 0311 Data Acquisition System is a portable, pre-configured data collection system (DAQ) that includes several options that provide a capable and powerful system to meeting the in-house and field testing needs for the Ballistic and Blast Science Team (BBST) at NSRDEC. The current DAQ requirements for BBST include an easily portable, rugged, and reliable equipment package, an intuitive and easy to operate control system, a minimum 1MB/s per channel sampling rate, capability for up to 32 data acquisition channels, the ability to directly integrate and control a high speed video camera and synchronize with other test equipment, and synchronous Transistor-Transistor Logic (TTL) digital input/output signals. The Dewetron 0311 includes all of these aspects and also provides the added benefit of comprehensive system consolidation. While most data acquisition systems require an external computer and associated hardware to drive the acquisition process, the Dewetron 311 comes in a fully enclosed tum-key platform, making it more rugged and portable. Additionally, the Dewetron 311 contains an integrated differential signal conditioner for use with both voltage and resistance gauges and equipment. Any responses received will be used for future acquisitions. Questions may be addressed to Stephen Abate at stephen.s.abate.civ@mail.mil.
