- J&A Cisco Router NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE MCIPAC Regional Contracting Office Butler intends to procure, on an other than full and open competition basis (Brand Name) for the procurement of Cisco routers in USMC III MEF G-6. Current III MEF tactical routing infrastructure is engineered to utilize Cisco proprietary technologies only available on Cisco branded hardware. Sole branded equipment is required in order to maximize efficiency of current hardware sets and current Military Occupational specialty (MOS) training received by USMC data personnel at all levels, which is centered on the technologies and programing language native to this equipment. Without utilizing Cisco hardware will limit the interoperability of new systems with existing Program of Record systems and impede operations due to the inability to leverage proprietary technologies that are commonly used in standard operating procedures. Any interested parties believing they can meet all the requirements listed above, may submit a response. All information furnished shall be in writing and must contain sufficient detail to allow the government technical representative to evaluate and determine if it can meet the requirement. The requested information is due no later than 2:00PM (Local Time/Japan Time) on 28 May 2015 and can be provided to MCIPAC Regional Contracting Office Butler, Attn: Minako Chinen (Contract Specialist), PSC 557 Box 2000 FPO AP 96379-2000 or via e-mail to: minako.chinen.ja@usmc.mil. This notice is for information and planning purposes only. It does not constitute an invitation for bid or a request for proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. No costs will be paid for any charges incurred in responding to this synopsis.
