- HORSE VALLEY BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION In accordance with the attached specifications and drawings, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has a requirement for all labor, supervision, permits, transportation, equipment, tools, supplies, and materials necessary to construct a single-lane bridge. This work includes installing a micropile foundation with concrete abutments, furnishing and erecting a prefabricated structural steel bridge superstructure, construction of roadway approaches, bridge deck asphalt paving, construction of riprap slope protection and related site work. There are no known special restrictions or geographical limitations on this requirement. The work is located in Garfield County, approximately 63 miles by road northeast of Cedar City, Utah and approximately 62 miles south of Richfield, Utah at mile post 146.4 on US Hwy 89. The latitude and longitude of the bridge location are approximately 38.02836 ° N and 112.35735 ° W. Project price range is between $250,000 and $500,000. Performance time is 90 days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. A Bid Bond, Performance Bond, and Payment Bond will be required for this procurement. This project is competitive and restricted to small business vendors only under the North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code 237310, Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction, with a size standard of $36.5 million. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) utilizing FAR Part 15, awarded as a Firm-Fixed-Price contract to a single vendor. A site visit is scheduled for Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 1:00 pm.
