Description

This is a Sources Sought Announcement only The Department of Veterans Affairs VA Central California Health Care System (VACCHCS) has a need to construct an Expansion of the Community Living Center (CLC), Building 31. This project will provide additional new single occupancy private rooms with adjoining private bathrooms for the patients in the Community Living Center. This project is Phase 1 of the overall Expand Community Living Center project. Phase 1 will construct a new 14,778 square foot building that will provide twelve new single occupancy rooms and associated living areas. This contract will require a general contractor with experience in hospital and health care environment construction. The general description of work includes, but is not limited to; selective demolition of building components, above ground and underground utilities, infrastructure, and site components, relocation of building components, and site components as well as new hospital/clinic construction. The contractor shall provide protection of all existing site infrastructure, building components and utilities that are not identified for demolition. Contractor shall replace or repair all existing infrastructure, components and utilities impacted during construction activities. The magnitude of this project is between $5 million - $10 million. At this point in the procurement process, the Department of Veterans Affairs is performing market research to determine if sufficient competition exists in one of the following Socio-economic categories; Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Veteran Owned Small Business Women-Owned Small Business Hub zone Small Business Small Disadvantage Business (8(a)) Small Business All firms that are interested and have the capabilities to perform this project should send the following information by e-mail to parvinder.brar@va.gov and denise.groves@va.gov no later than 2:00PM PST June 2, 2015.
