Description

AFNWC/PZIB, Kirtland AFB, New Mexico, intends to award a sole source contract to Albuquerque Ambulance Services. The requirement that will be provided is for the following: The Contractor shall provide 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year New Mexico state licensed paramedic, licensed emergency medical technician (EMT), and fully supplied and equipped ambulance for emergency medical response and patient transport for all personnel on Kirtland Air Force Base (KAFB) and the New Mexico Veterans Affairs Health Care System (NMVAHCS) campus. The MDG and NMVAHCS rely upon EMS response to emergencies via a 911 call. Albuquerque Ambulance Services is the only contractor that is tied into the Albuquerque 911 dispatch system for emergency call relays. No other contractor has this capability. Without this capability emergency calls could not be relayed to the EMT/Paramedic to respond and provide potentially life-saving support. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS. Anticipated award date is 1 September 2015, NAICS code is 621910, and Size Standard is $14,000,000.
