Description

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. No Solicitation is currently available. The VA Northern California Health Care System will be issuing an Invitation for Bids (IFB) to award a construction contract to a General Contractor for Project 612A4-14-038, Building 700 OR-HVAC Retrofit. The project will be located at VA Northern Health Care System facility at Mather Campus, CA. The intention of this project will be to: "Replace existing Air Handling Unit AHU-4 on roof of hospital building700, this will add much needed airflow capacity to building 700 and will provide spare airflow capacity to accommodate future conversion of operating rooms ( OR#3) into a hybrid OR, as well as, airflow capacity for future addition of two Cath Labs and associated support spaces on the first floor. "Replace existing constant air volume 100% outside air unit with a new 100% outside air unit of the correct size and capacity, with air-to-air heat exchanger to recover energy from the exhaust air system of correct size and capacity. It is anticipated an IFB will be released on/about June 1, 2015. At this point in the procurement process, the Department of Veterans Affairs is performing market research to determine contractor socio-economic category, e.g. Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, 8(a) etc. and, bonding capacity. Interested firms should send, by e-mail only, the following information: Socio-Economic Category, SAM record, DUNS number, Maximum bonding capability for a single bid and Total maximum bonding capacity. The anticipated period of performance is from September 1, 2015 through March 30, 2017, as per Government determination. The applicable NAICS code for this procurement is 236220. The Small Business Size Standard is $36.5 million. Project magnitude is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.
