Description

The Social Security Administration's Production Software Branch uses Dino T-Rex Software for mainframe catalog management and recovery, which is crucial to systems operations. Software capacity is measured in terms of IBM MIPS. The software runs on the mainframe in both the National Computer Center and the Second Support Center. The maintenance subscription for Dino-Software Corporation software includes updates, fixes and patches as well as online and telephone technical support, allowing the software to remain operational in a changing environment. SSA has determined that this software is proprietary. Only Dino Software Corporation has access to the source code necessary to provide the required maintenance subscription that is comprised of version upgrades and updates, bug fixes and patches; and telephone/internet support. There is one authorized reseller, Affigent, LLC.
