- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE which serves as a market research tool to obtain information from industry and will be used for preliminary planning purposes. Only firms who respond to this announcement by submitting the requested information will be considered in determining whether to set-aside this requirement for small business concerns. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS, OR BIDS AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED AS A RESULT OF THIS NOTICE. The Government is under no obligation to issue a solicitation as a result of this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this Sources Sought notice or any follow-up information. Respondents will not be notified of the results of this notice. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The U.S. Corps of Engineers Baltimore District is seeking sources for the project entitled, Laundry and Uniform & Mat Services for Washington Aqueduct located at Washington, DC. This will be a firm-fixed price contract. The place of performance will be at varies locations: Dalecarlia Water Treatment Plant, McMillan Water Treatment Plant, and Washington Aqueduct Plumbing Shop located in Washington, DC. The anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 812332 (Industrial Launderers) and Business Size Standard of $35.5 Million. The Contractor shall provided rental services for work uniforms which included weekly cleaning and replacement for estimated maximum of 128 maintenance, operations, and lab personnel at the Washington Aqueduct. All labor, materials, supplies, and transportation would be at the Contractor's expense. The Contractor shall maintain and repair garments as required to keep garments in proper condition and appearance. The Contractor shall replace worn or un-slightly uniform items, due to normal wear and usage, on an as needed basis. The Contractor shall make alterations, size changes, and repairs. INTERESTED SOURCES: CAPABILITY STATEMENT: Interested sources must submit a narrative demonstrating their qualifications to perform the work as described above. The narrative shall include a summary of qualifications, details of similar work experience, including dates of performance and references with contact information. Contractors should present and identify all expertise, types and number of equipment, bonding limit, and name and number of personnel. The Contractor must have access to equipment to perform the work they will perform, and should describe the elements of work they would likely self-perform. The Contractor should be familiar with the Federal safety manual. Narrative shall be no longer than 10 pages. Comments will be shared with the Government and the Project Management Team (PMT), but otherwise be held in strict confidence. SUBMISSIONS: Must submit the following at a minimum: 1. Firms name, address, phone number, and name & email address for a point of contact. Firm's Joint Venture information if applicable - existing. 2. Firm's CAGE Code and DUNS Number to verify your business status as a qualified Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned SB (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZone), Certified 8(a) or Women- Owned Small Business (WOSB). Note: Prior Government contract work is not required for submitting a response under this Sources Sought Notice. Contractors must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) at the time of contract award. Please see www.sam.gov for additional registration information. The official Synopsis citing the solicitation number will be issued on Federal Business Opportunities www.fbo.gov. 3.
