- Description
- CRADA Brochure for Industry Partners Sandia National Laboratories (Sandia) has made considerable investment in the research and development of an additive manufacturing-based method of reversible interconnects for the evaluation of semiconductor structures. Sandia is seeking partners to further develop a customized solution for the identification of manufacturing and design defects earlier in the development process. Based on reversible (removable) electrical connections, this platform technology will allow for prototyping of different 3D integrated devices and/or mesoscale integration. Applications of a mature system may include the development of pass/fail criteria for high value items. Collaborators will work with Sandia to mature a patented process and adapt it to suit the production process bounds of the Partner. The desired outcome of the collaboration will be successful incorporation of this technology into the Partner's production cycle to bolster quality assurance operations. Sandia invites interested parties to provide a description of relevant background, experience, expertise and capabilities that could be brought into a collaborative partnership with Sandia. The following information is being requested: 1)Description of application of interest 2)Description of test capabilities Sandia will evaluate all responses and selective prospective parties with which to engage in further discussions based on the following criteria: 1)Ability to contribute resources, both funds-in and in-kind (laboratory staff, instrumentation, etc.) 2)Demonstrated production flow and design 3)Description of past experience partnering with R&D organizations such as Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDC), universities, National Laboratories, or Government laboratories to successfully develop and deploy technologies In addition to evaluating the provided information as outlined above, Sandia will evaluate all responses and select prospective parties with which to engage in further discussions based on the following criteria, pursuant to Sandia's technology transfer mission: 1)How will the respondent deploy the technology for the benefit of the U.S. public good? 2)How will the respondent's deployment of the technology benefit U.S. economic competitiveness?
