Description
This is a sources sought synopsis only, (not a pre-solicitation notice pursuant to FAR Part 5). The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential small businesses that are capable of meeting the described requirement. Responses to this notice shall include the following: (a) company name (b) company CAGE code and/or DUNS number, (c) address, (d) point of contact, (e) and your business size status (small v. large). In addition, the respondent must provide a capability statement that addresses the organization's qualifications and ability to perform as a prime contractor the work described below: Description : The requirement is for the supply of, set up of, and removal of temporary fencing in support of parking and crowd control for an upcoming Airshow near the end of October. The measurements listed here represent a reasonably accurate estimate of required fencing distances. The fence types listed below are desired, although recommendations of alternative solutions that may save the Government money will be both appreciated and considered for any possible solicitations to come. If you do have alternative methods or solutions please provide us with an estimated cost breakdown for the fencing as described below, an alternative cost breakdown for your recommended solution, and a brief discussion of the difference between the two. This information will aid the Government in procuring the most cost-effective and sensible solution that will accomplish the intended purpose. All fencing must be set up in a manor that will withstand high winds and/or severe weather conditions that an airfield may be exposed to. Installation and teardown will be required within a relatively short window. Installation will likely need to be accomplished on a Thursday evening after 3pm, and tear down would take place the following Sunday after 6pm and must be completely removed no later than Monday morning at 10am. Include as part of your cost estimate any labor/equipment needed to accomplish these tasks. The breakdown of fencing is as follows: Total 16,800ft 6ft chain link fencing, three locations measured as follows: 15,500ft of 6ft chain link fencing, to be set up over a grass/dirt surface 800ft of 6ft chain link fencing, to be set up over a grass/dirt surface 500ft of 6ft chain link fencing, to be set up over a grass/dirt surface Total 8500ft 4ft barrier fencing, two locations measured as follows: 4,700ft of 4ft barrier fencing, to be set up over a concrete surface, should include disconnect points for emergency responders 3,800ft of 4ft barrier fencing, to be set up over a concrete surface Total 5000ft of mesh or snow fencing to be placed along the barrier fencing for debris/FOD control Place of Performance : Temporary fencing will be installed on/removed from Joint Base San Antonio - Randolph in San Antonio, TX. This notice is for informational purposes only and does not constitute an Invitation for Bid or Request for Proposal, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not reimburse contractors for any cost incurred for their participation in this survey. While specifically small businesses are requested, all businesses may participate in this survey.
