Description
Clauses SPECS This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation S310-00504 is being issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-61. The 2012 NAICS code applicable to this acquisition is 334516. To be considered a small business under this NAICS, offerors must not exceed the 500 employee size standard. The USDA, ARS, National Animal Disease Center has a requirement for a contractor to provide a Cytation Imaging Reader which satisfies all minimum must-have specifications listed below as well as on-site training for instrument and accompanying software use. The details and minimum must-have specifications for this package are listed below and attached to this posting. Any resulting award from this solicitation will be a fixed price contract. Responsible offerors must be able to provide the items within 30 days of date of award. Minimum Must-Have Specifications are: 1) Instrument must be capable of reading/imaging fluorescence (single and time resolved), luminescence, brightfield, phase contrast, absorbance (UV and Visual) and H and E from 6 to 384 well microtiter plates, petri dishes, tissue culture flaks (25cm2) and slides. 2) Quote must include appropriate hardware for use of microtiter plates, petri dishes and slides on instrument. 3) Quote must include filters for reading peak emission of fluorochromes Texas Red (590 nm), GFP (485 nm), DAPI (365 nm), CY5 (623 nm), RFP/Propidium iodine (523nm). 4) Instrument must have image processing including stitching, z-projection and digital phase contrast. 5) Instrument must include following objectives for magnification (1.25X, 2.5X, 20X, 40X, 60X). 6) Instrument must be capable of incubating plates up to 65 degrees C with linear and/or orbital shaking. 7) Quote must include computer and software for collection and analysis of date with the instrument. 8) Quote must include on-site training for instrument and software use. 9) Quote to include all applicable S/H charges. 10) Qty: 1. Award will be based on technical acceptability, best value and ability to deliver in 30 days from date of award. Minimum must-have specifications are listed above. Brand name or verifiable equal to Bio-Tek CYT5MPV unit with required accessories to satisfy all minimum must-have specifications listed above system quotes will be accepted.
