Description
This is a Source Sought Notice only. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quotes, or invitation for bid. The intent of this notice is to identify potential offerors for market research purposes and to determine whether to set aside for small businesses. Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) is specifically seeking Small Businesses (SB) with current relevant qualifications, experience, personnel and capabilities to perform the following requirement: Ground and Bonding onsite training course to cover installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of the grounding and bonding system that greater than 50 volts. The training contractor will provide the following for grounding and bonding course: Provide each student (12ea) all text book material needed for understanding grounding and bonding systems Provide all hands on material for grounding and bonding training. (Hand tools, wires, labels, etc.) Provide all test equipment (meters, megohmmeter surge tester, etc.) needed to install and verify a grounding system All training should be in compliance with OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E, NESC, MSHA and other electrical regulations The training class for motor maintenance and testing will cover the installation, maintenance, repair or troubleshooting of rotating machines for AC and DC equipment. The training contractor will provide the following for Motor Maintenance and testing course. (This training class will cover the proper installation, maintain, repair and troubleshooting.): Provide each student (12ea) all text book material needed for understanding motor maintenance and testing for AC and DC motors Provide all hands on material for motor maintenance and testing training. (Hand tools, wires, labels, test motors, etc.) Provide all test equipment (volt meters, megohmmeter, surge tester, phase rotation meter, etc.) needed to understand motor maintenance and testing All training should be in compliance with OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E, NESC, MSHA and other electrical regulations Service Location: NNSY Building 298 and Building 510A, Portsmouth VA The anticipated contract type will be firm fixed price. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 611519 with a size standard of $15.0 Million. This procurement will be awarded using the Simplified Acquisition Procedures 13.5. The Government anticipants a Firm-Fixed Price Contract and the anticipated award date is To Be Announced (TBA). Period of Performance: 01 JUL 2015 - 31 JUL 2015 IMPORTANT NOTICE: Interested sources are invited to respond to this sources sought synopsis should email Contract Specialist, Anjuné Ennis at anjune.ennis@navy.mil no later than 28 May 2015 at 10:00 AM EST.
