Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs NCO 6 intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Scanlan International Inc. for the below items to be used for Carotid endarterectomy. The VA intends to issue a purchase order for a one time purchase of these items. 1.Micro Clamp, Slightly Angled Shanks 6MM Dedakey Jaws, 14mm Jaw Length 4-1/8"10.5 CM. 4 EA Part # 3003-616. 2.Micro Kitzmiller Clamp, Right Angled Debakey Jaws, 23MM Jaw length 4-1/4"/11CM 4 EA 3003-628. 3.Micro Kitzmiller Clamp, Left Angled Debakey Jaws, 23MM Jaw length 4-1/4"/11CM 4 EA Part # 3003-630. 4.Stratte Valve Needle Holder, Carbon-inlay Jaws, Gold Ring Handle, 7-1/2"/19CM 4 EA Part # 6006-15. This procurement is in support of Hunter Holmes McGuire Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia. The VA intends to procure this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Responses are due by May 22, 2015 at 12:00 PM EST, a determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses received from the notice mentioned above and additional market research. This notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
