- All interested parties are invited to participate in an Advanced Explosive Ordnance Disposal Robotic System Increments (AEODRS) 2 and 3 Industry Awareness Day on Tuesday June 30, 2015 at The Johns Hopkins University Advanced Physics Laboratory (JHU/APL), Laurel, Maryland. The Industry Awareness Day will take place from 08:30am until 04:30pm at JHU/APL, Parsons Auditorium. Please arrive between 7:30am- 8:00am to allow time to check in prior to the 8:30am start time. The purpose of the Industry Awareness Day is to update industry on the status of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NSWC IHEODTECHDIV) approach to contract with a Prime System Integrator to lead the integration and fielding of AEODRS Increments 2 and 3. An overview of the program to date will be provided with emphasis on the program's goal of fielding a system using Open Systems Architecture (OSA). A draft copy of the Statement of Work (SOW) and draft copy of the Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs) will be provided in the near future as an amendment to this announcement. Attendance is not a prerequisite for ultimately submitting a proposal at the time a Request for Proposal (RFP) is released or other involvement in the program. Attendees shall email the following information to Namrata Shrestha ( Namrata.Shrestha@jhuapl.edu ) and Kristy Ryman ( Kristy.ryman@navy.mil ) no later than 23 June 2015: company name, name(s) of attendees, citizenship status, address, telephone number and email address. Attendees will be provided a confirmation email. A maximum of three (3) representatives per organization will be allowed. Advance questions and/or comments pertaining to the Industry Awareness Day, draft SOW and/or CLINs, when released, may be addressed up to five (5) business days prior to the Industry Awareness Day to Kristy Ryman at kristy.ryman@navy.mil. Advance questions and/or comments will be addressed at the Industry Awareness Day. The Industry Awareness Day purpose is solely to offer information regarding potential involvement in AEODRS Increments 2 and 3; not to obtain proposals. The Government will not pay for information obtained during the workshop or for any time and expense of the participants. This announcement does not constitute an invitation for bid or Request for Proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a contract. The Government will not pay for any effort expended or any material provided in response to this announcement not will the Government return any data provided.
