- DEVELOPMENT OF FUNCTIONAL PROTOTYPE FOR A SELF-CONTAINED ROBOTIC APPLICATION SYSTEM OF THERMAL SPRAY NONSKID FOR LARGE DECK AMPHIBIOUS SHIP FLIGHT DECK FOR THE NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY CENTER FOR CORROSION SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING (CCSE) Objective The Naval Research Laboratory Center for Corrosion Science and Engineering (CCSE) is searching for potential sources that are capable of performing the requirements set forth in the attached draft statement of work titled "Development of Functional Prototype for a Self-Contained Robotic Application System of Thermal Spray Nonskid for Large Deck Amphibious Ship Flight Deck." The intent of this RFI is to gauge industry interest, capabilities and relevant experience to support NRL personnel in performing research and development in the task areas listed in the attached draft statement of work. Note: Given the tasks specified in the statement of work are contractor developed data, information and systems in accordance with the defined performance requirements, the government anticipates that work under this contract will be deemed "unclassified", therefore the contractor will not need access to classified information for performance of this contract. Locations •Naval Research Laboratory, 4555 Overlook Ave, SW Washington, DC •Contractor Facilities •Other locations as necessary.(May be both CONUS and OCONUS) NRL asks that interested parties, at a minimum, supply the following information: 1. CONTACT INFORMATION a. Name of company and point of contact (POC) b. Telephone number, fax number, address, and e-mail address of POC c. Business size and number of employees 2. CAPABILITY STATEMENT a. Capability Statement and information about offered services that meet the requirements listed in this RFI. Resources In order to aid industry in evaluating their ability to perform the requirement, the following documents have been attached and are provided here in this RFI: Draft SOW for Development of Functional Prototype for a Self-Contained Robotic Application System of Thermal Spray Nonskid for Large Deck Amphibious Ship Flight Deck for the Naval Research Center for Corrosion Science and Engineering Submission of Information It is requested that the above information be provided no later than June 5th, 2015. Responses may be submitted via e-mail to devan.dewitt@nrl.navy.mil. Note: Participation in response to this announcement is voluntary, and respondents shall not be compensated. This is for market research purposes only for the Government to understand existing capabilities. It does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, NRL is not at this time seeking proposals, and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Not providing a response to this announcement does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued.
