Description
Base Access Request for Site Visit Site Plan for Temporary Facility Area Technical Specifications, Drawings & SOW Solicitation This is a solicitation. NOTICE Only local sources will be considered under the resulting solicitation. Local sources are sources (e.g. corporations or partnerships) that are physically located in Japan and authorized (i.e. licensed and registered) to perform in Japan, the type of construction work specified in the solicitation. Specifically, a prospective offeror must be duly authorized to operate and conduct business in Japan and must fully comply with all laws, decrees, labor standards, and regulations of Japan during the performance of the resulting contract. In addition, prior to award of the contract, the offeror must be registered with the Government of Japan to do construction work in Japan and possess necessary construction licenses and permits to perform work required under the solicitation. PROJECT INFORMATION Project Title: Renovate Building 250, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Camp Zama, Japan Project Location: Camp Zama located in the city of Sobudai Mae, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan Project NAICS: 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction Project Estimated Magnitude of Construction: Between 100,000,000 and 500,000,000 Japanese YEN (based on an exchange rate of $1 U.S. Dollar to 100 Japanese Yen) Contract duration: 480 calendar days Project Description: The purpose of this project is to renovate interior configuration of building 250 with the goal of maximizing the available space within the building. The area within the building is approximately 4,315 square meters. The project will require phasing (sequenced work) to allow for continued operations of staff within the building during construction. Procurement type: this is a one-phase design build procurement. The Government will evaluate the offeror's Construction Experience, Design Experience, Past Performance, Construction Execution Plan and Price. The Government will use the Lowest Price Techncially Acceptable process to evaluate offers to determine best value. The solicitation is available by download from the Internet only. Documents will be available for download only through the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website at http://www.fbo.gov.
