- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is responsible for conducting acquisitions in support of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). NIOSH has a requirement for snow and ice removal services as required to prepare parking areas, sidewalks, ramps, roads, etc., for regular working hours. This requirement is solicited on a full and open competition - unrestricted basis (not set-aside for any particular socioeconomic concern). The contract is intended to be for a base year and four one-year option periods at the sole discretion of the government. The complete requirement details will be contained within a solicitation document which is anticipated to be available for downloading at www.fedbizopps.gov between 15 to 30 calendar days after the posting date of this notice. No verbal or written requests for copies will be accepted. It is the responsibility of prospective offerors to stay abreast of additional postings regarding this solicitation at the FedBizOpps Internet site. REQUIREMENT SYNOPSIS: Contractor's workforce will facilitate having walkways, parking areas, ramps, roads, etc. necessary to allow safe, unobstructed entry to all government workspaces in acceptable condition prior to reporting of the Government workforce at 6:00 AM. The site will be cleared by 5:45 AM. The contractor will maintain sufficient stockpiles off site and on site of salt for use at the site. During the period of the contract, the buildings and other facilities will continue to be occupied and used by employees involved in Government operations. Work by the Contractor will be performed with minimum disruption of Government operations. The Contractor will confine and limit his personnel to only those areas required for performing the work. Exception is made when Contractor personnel have to leave work areas for personal necessities.
