- FBO Announcement May 22, 2015 Synopsis: Added: 13 May 2015 The R1S PMO appreciates the efforts and interests of industry for the procurement of the next generation recreation services contract and we would like to update you on issuance of the final Request for Proposal (RFP). The RFP is in its final stages of review. The government estimates that it will issue the formal RFP sometime within the next 30 days and receipt of proposals approximately 60 days after issuance. This timeline is being provided as an estimate and not a guarantee that the RFP will be issued during that time. This announcement is not a Request for Proposals (RFP) and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately to award a contract on the basis of this announcement or otherwise pay for the information solicited. Responses to this announcement will not serve as proposals, bids, or offers, which could be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The R1S PMO appreciates the efforts and interests of industry for the procurement of the next generation recreation services contract and we would like to update you on changes for the procurement and our milestones. Attached to this announcement is the DRAFT version of the RFP. The Government is requesting that any comments be directed to Jason King by email to jasonmking@fs.fed.us no later than October 22, 2014. Please note that questions may or may not be answered. If questions are answered, they will be posted to FedBizOps in an announcement. Questions must be submitted via the attached R1S Draft RFP QA Template. The draft RFP is being posted to gauge the response of industry and to incorporate feedback and questions received from this post and will form a basis for the final version of the RFP. Please note, there are 23 attachments to this announcement. Please ensure you download all attachments as each one is required. As a reminder, the Government's Recreation Information Database (RIDB) has recently been enhanced to include detailed information down to the site level for both reservable and non-reservable federal recreation inventory. Interested parties are highly encouraged to download the RIDB data from http://ridb.recreation.gov/ as this dataset is highly representative of the dataset which the Government will provide to the successful R1SSS offeror upon contract award. At the current time, we do not have an updated milestone schedule for the release of the final version of the RFP. As this information is developed, we will post a follow up announcement to FedBizOps to update all interested parties. Until that posting is made, there is no further information the Government would be able to share.
