Description

This is a Sources Sought Notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought for information and planning purposes to identify qualified and experienced sources for an anticipated Firm-Fixed Price contract under NAICS code 337910 with a size standard of 500 employees. The Bachelor Housing Department at Joint Base Anacostia Bolling, Washington, D.C., requires a contractor to provide the following items listed in the attached document (Attachment 1). These items include mattresses, mattress toppers, box springs and steel bed frames of various sizes. The delivery address is located at; Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, (JBAB), 2770 Enterprise Way, Washington, DC 20373. This sources sought notice is not to be construed in any way as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response. The Naval Supply Fleet Logistics Center (NAVSUP FLC) Acquisitions Branch in Norfolk, Virginia is conducting market research, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10 to identify potential vendors who have the capabilities to supply the required items specified in the attachment of this Sources Sought. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding: (1) the availability and capability of qualified Sources and (2) their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. This potential supply is to be set-up as a single acquisition. Interested firms with the capability of providing the required items/service are requested to submit a capability statement to assist the Government in determining in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.502-2(b) whether or not this procurement will be set-aside for any of the items described in the Attachment 1. Reponses to this Sources Sought request shall include the following information in this format: 1. Company name, address, point of contact name, phone number, fax number and email address. 2. Contractor and Government Entity (CAGE) Code. 3. If the items can be solicited from a GSA schedule, provide the GSA contract number. 4. Size of business - Large Business, Small Business, Small Disadvantage, 8(a), Hubzone, Woman-owned and/or Veteran-owned. 5. Description of the supply item that will meet the specifications and requirements of the items in this Sources Sought 6. Include any other supporting documentation. 7. Contractor shall specify and indicate if your supply item will meet or exceed all of the specifications in listed in Attachment 1 to this Sources Sought. 8. Comments or suggested changes to the Governments NAICs Determination Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. Standard company brochures will not be reviewed. Submissions are not to exceed five (5) typewritten pages in no less than 12 font size. Responses should be emailed to Susan Roberts by 2:00 PM on 29 May 2015. Again, this is not a request for a quote. Respondents will not be notified of the results. Please note the information within this pre-solicitation synopsis will be updated and/or may change prior to an official synopsis/solicitation, if any is issued.
